yeah baby, this is a awesome night shot.
Yeah, I was impressed at what the little Canon G7 could do at night. Not too noisy.
the Canon Powershot G series of cameras are excellent, sometimes you just don’t want to lug around a dslr kit. especially on holidays.
Nikon have yet to release a decent compact camera, but Nikon dslr’s are the best at the moment.
Yes, and I heard the G9 and especially the G10 are even better.
After much research I bought the Canon Rebel XSI recently. So far so good…it is harder in some cases to take a good picture, but when it turns out well, it looks great.
The processing from Raw is a whole new game for me, and that is what is been a challenge to date (although also lots of fun.)
Do you use a Canon DSLR? which one?
I have a Canon 20D but I am going to trade it in for another DSLR, either a another Canon, Nikon or Sony. Because the Canon 20D is quite low-tech compared to todays cameras, even the XSI (450D in the UK and Europe) has more technology and it’s a "beginners" camera, also I am having problems with my camera and it will cost alot to repair it so it’s better to buy a new one.
Cameras on my short list are:
Canon 40D
Nikon D90
Nikon D300
Sony A700

The only difference between G7 and the G9 is that RAW is re-introduced, other than that everything is pretty much the same.
Hi, I’m an admin for a group called Cities and Towns of British Columbia, and we’d love to have this added to the group!
Thanks bluegoose0fox! I’ve added it.
Great, I took pictures I think from the same balcony:-))
